Abstract
The talk will focus on “Biosynthesis” to show how chemists can discover the sequences of reactions by which living systems construct the molecules they contain. How and why many twists and turns occurred in the trail going forward will be explained. The talk is largely set to be understood and enjoyed by undergraduates but more experienced chemists and biochemists will not be neglected. The story will also emerge of how the way we do chemical research has been transformed over the past 60 years.
Entry is free to all and free refreshments will be provided.
Series This talk is part of the ChemSoc - Cambridge Chemistry Society series.
