Abstract
Building a large and complex machine is no easy task, especially when the machine is a one-off. Dr Lester recounts some examples of things that went wrong during the building of the Large Hadron Collider, and more importantly how they were fixed.
The talk is free for CUPS members, ÂŖ2 for non-members, and will be followed by a wine reception.
