Abstract
A story that will make you fall in love with science all over again, it has all the ingredients (watch this space for the film franchise): • Enemies are trying to invade from without and… within • Secret agents with a licence to kill (cells that have turned existing structures into lethal weapons) • Intricate mechanisms to keep these snipers in check • Special effects capturing all the action (in slow motion) in magnificent magnification • In parallel Gillian’s own story: A legendary mentor in Cesar Milstein, finding the right man, doing the most focused research with small children and gaining a Fellowship of the Royal Society this year for her ‘elegant and insightful’ science.
