Observing the solar corona on the 11th of July 2012

In the modern era of solar physics, we can continuously observe the solar corona at high time cadence and high spatial resolution in a broad range of wavelengths from X-rays to radio. Based on observations from the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) and Hi-C, I will describe new observations of the solar corona, including the nature and evolution of a unipolar streamer and sparkling EUV bright dots. I will discuss the importance of the coupling between the different spatial scales (from 100 km to 100 Mm) and the different time scales (from seconds to hours).
