Abstract
The distinguished poet, novelist and dramatist, Jackie Kay MBE , is the recipient of numerous awards and honours for her writing for adults and children alike. Her many publications include poetry collections, The Adoption Papers, Other Lovers and Fiere; fiction Trumpet; autobiography Red Dust Road; and poetry for children Two’s Company and Red Cherry Red. Jackie Kay is an inspired performer.
This performance is funded by Poetry By Heart www.poetrybyheart.org.uk, a poetry recitation and remembering competition for school/college pupils in England. Poetry By Heart is an educational initiative of the Poetry Archive www.poetryarchive.org.
