Abstract
Cancer arises from mutations of cellular DNA . The recent whole-genome sequencing of human cancers has revealed the importance of processes that actively and extensively mutate cancer cell genomes. Such mutagenesis drives cancer evolution, aggression and resistance to therapy. Our aim is to modulate the mutagenic processes that are active in cancer cells, demonstrating a new strategy for tackling cancer.
