Abstract
Working in partnership with four of the West Midlands key heritage organisations; The new Library of Birmingham, The Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery, Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust and The Hive (Worcester), the project demonstrates working in cross-disciplinary, cross-sector partnerships across the creative economy, to rise to the challenges of massive 2D and 3D data collection, analysis and visualisation for audiences accessing leading edge content on multi-touch, multi-user tables and walls in public spaces, on mobile devices or at home or work via the Internet.
My Work was to design digital outputs that enable diverse groups of users to gain intuitive access to a vast wealth of information for the purpose built do.collaboration Hub at the University of Birmingham and provide access to a suite of innovative multi-user, 3D multi-touch technologies, mobile devices and tablets, advanced user-testing facilities and augmented reality tools, all integrated into a unique digital prototyping lab.
