Abstract
Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), also known as analysis of covariance structures, is a powerful statistical methodology that takes confirmatory approach to the analysis of various dataset usually collected in the Social Sciences. SEM simultaneously uses techniques from multiple regression, path analysis, and factor analyses. Based on these techniques researchers can test theories/hypotheses for their work. In the session, we will use the statistical package AMOS to generate and test models. This session will offer a basic introduction to SEM for beginners as well as it will offer opportunities to develop more complex models for those participated in last year’s SEM sessions. Please bring your own datasets or research designs with you as I hope to discuss data collection and models for participants’ own research.
