Abstract
In this talk I will discuss the framework of vector-like confinement as a plausible extension of the Standard Model for the LHC and dark matter. The SM is extended by fermions in a real representation of the SM and charged under a new confining gauge interaction. The strong dynamics does not break electro-weak symmetry but has interesting phenomenology and provides natural dark matter candidates due to its accidental symmetries. We present explicit models based simple gauge dynamics and examine the dark matter phenomenology. In the last part I will discuss a possible connection with the generation of the electro-weak scale.
