Abstract
Launch of the New Environmental Sensors SIG of Cambridge Cleantech
Environmental sensors have a huge impact on the quality of our lives, monitoring everything from the temperature of your home to the atmosphere of the most dangerous workplaces on earth.
Today, the average price per unit of a packaged sensor is $150. However, a drive towards chip-level integration of sensor technology lets us imagine a world monitored by a multitude of connected sensors. How will all this information improve the efficiency with which we can tackle some of humanities greatest challenges?
