Abstract
Adam Zagajewski, Poland’s greatest living poet, joins Cambridge Polish Studies at Trinity College for an evening of his poetry. Zagajewski will read a selection of poems, followed by discussion and audience questions.
The event will include the presentation of the prize for best translation of a Polish poem into English by a student of Polish Studies at Cambridge.
Acclaimed translator of Polish literature, Antonia Lloyd-Jones, one of the competition judges, will speak about the challenges of literary translation.
