Abstract
Observations of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) have shown that there is an excess signal at 20-30 GHz frequencies and close to the galactic plane which cannot be easily explained by standard known foregrounds.
In addition, Fermi observations in the gamma rays have shown an excess signal close to the center of the Milky way.
Various speculations regarding the origin of these signals have been put forth, ranging from astrophysical interpretations to signatures of weakly interacting dark matter.
I will discuss possible interpretations of the microwave Haze when accurate predictions for the WIMP component are taken into account.
