Abstract
Mice, and now touchscreens, have become a daily part of our lives in the way we interact with computers. But what about people who lack the ability to use a mouse or touchscreen? Or situations where these would be impractical or outright dangerous? This talk will present a new type on interactive devices that responds to eye gaze movements of users. This new eye gaze tracking based system found applications for people with severe disability as well as for drivers and pilots of combat aircrafts. There will also be a demonstration where attendees can control a computer simply by looking at it.
Here is a press release connected to this work.
Series This talk is part of the Probabilistic Systems, Information, and Inference Group Seminars series.
