Abstract
Stressed for an exam or an interview? Angry at your partner? Sad about a recent loss? The expression of βrawβ emotion is not always the best option and sometimes emotions need to be regulated. Emotion regulation is an important skill that will help you to build relationships with others, feel happy with yourself and be successful in your everyday life. But what happens when this goes wrong? What happens when you cannot control your anger or sadness? In this talk, I will explain how emotion regulation might go wrong in some mental health disorders. I will talk about how we can measure this and what are the options to help individual with mental health disorders better regulate their emotions.
