Abstract
Nature is surrounded by particles interacting with each other: gravity pulls stars together in a galaxy, and electrons bind atoms into a solid. However, the interactions between these particles is divergent, making computer simulations expensive. We propose and construct pseudopotentials that give the same physical behavior for the electrons, but have a smooth profile that accelerates computational analysis by a factor of 30.
