Abstract
In a joint work with M. Morini (Parma), M. Ponsiglione (Roma I), we propose a new (elementary) definition for sub and super flows of hypersurfaces by anisotropic mean curvature, for which existence and comparison results can be proved by relatively classical techniques. The method assumes very little smoothness and allows to extend standard existence and uniqueness results to the crystalline curvature flow with “natural” mobility. The crystalline curvature flow is a formal “gradient flow” of a perimeter which is measured with a surface tension both nonsmooth and non elliptic.
