Abstract
Join us for our next fascinating talk from Dr David Bainbridge, a Reproductive Biologist here at Cambridge, who has written numerous popular science books taking a zoological approach to human biology.
His latest book “Curvology” will be the basis for the talk, in which he will explore questions such as: why are women the only female animals to have evolved curves? And why do women dress to impress women, not men?
Exploring the evolutionary orgins of the female body, Dr Bainbridge will question why such a unique form in the animal kingdom has come to have such huge power over both those who own the bodies and those who admire them.
As usual, the talk will be followed by wine and cheese. The talk is free to members, and ÂŖ2 for non-members – there will be the opportunity to buy lifetime membership for ÂŖ15 on the night.
