Abstract
Us media folk are sometimes seen as a scary bunch but honestly, weโre not! The Radio Independents Group is hosting a free masterclass for radio / podcast practitioners and scientists alike to facilitate better science communication across the airways.
Join us for talks, wine and nibbles on Wednesday 18 November @ 18:30 in St Barnabas Church on Mill Road.

Weโll be talking about how to prep for an interview, sharing tricks of the trade and delving into what makes a great science programme. Speakers include: Head of BBC Radio 4 Science Unit Deborah Cohen; Toby Murcott, scientist and broadcaster for Radio 4; Naked Scientist and pop-sci writer Kat Arney; Cambridge University Astronomer Carolin Crawford and award-winning science broadcaster Sue Nelson.
There will also be a special, pre-recorded interview with Professor Jim Al-Khalili. Heโll be dishing out his experiences straddling the worlds of both quantum research and broadcast.
