Abstract
Professor Sanders’ role as Pro-Vice-Chancellor has embraced: HR matters (particularly Gender matters and the Office of PostDoctoral Affairs); bringing in a new Environmental Sustainability Vision and Policy for the University; developing the University’s relationships with City and County (leading to the City Deal which aims to improve transport and housing), and North West Cambridge. Pr. Sanders has also led a review that transformed the way that sport is managed in the University. Because his remit is so broad, Pr. Sanders has often described himself as the PVC for Everything Else [There are PVCs for Planning & Resources, Education, research, and International affairs].
