Abstract
All models are wrong, but some are useful. A model should start with a purpose and a scope, and then you can build it from there. This interactive workshop will encourage all participants to arrive with a model that they have already constructed, or that they want to construct. If you would like to get together in teams beforehand then this would be helpful. We will use flipchart paper and post-it notes to construct paper-based system models in the session. I will give a short five-minute introduction on some different types of system models (stakeholder map, task analysis, flowchart, project plan) and the rest of the session will be about making and discussing paper-based system models.
