Abstract
Are you a WISE woman at Cambridge? Do you want to advance your career? Are you looking to develop your business skills and increase the impact of your research or innovation?
Research by the University of Cambridge shows that mainstream entrepreneurship education consistently fails female participants, who are almost always under-represented in the training programmes. This is significantly more evident in programmes targeted at science, engineering and technology students. The research also indicated that programmes designed and delivered specifically for women in these target groups could be extremely effective.
EnterpriseWISE is a course designed by women for women and delivered entirely by women. It is for women in science, engineering and technology including graduates, (Masters, PhDs and Postdocs); academics and researchers; and early stage career managers working in SMEs or large companies. The aim is to unlock the entrepreneurial potential of participants for long-term career enhancement. Entrepreneurial skills can be applied to business venture creation, research projects and the commercialisation of innovations.
We’re currently recruiting for the next programme which takes place on 7-8 May and 11-12 June 2016 at Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge.
