HISTORY WARS : Politics in American Childrenās Books
Professor Jerry Griswold will explain how, in the era of the Tea Party, the Left and the Right are battling over ownership of the American past. And he will explain something curious: How this war is being fought in the arena of childrenās books.
A former professor at San Diego State University, Griswold is a specialist in American childrenās literature and the author of seven books. He has been a frequent contributor to the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times.
