Abstract
A major ongoing discussion within the Catholic Church is about how to strike a balance between “doing” and the “thinking”/“praying” about migration. Catholic charities are often accused of focusing too much on their practical work and forgetting about their spiritual drive. This talk will present some of the key research findings of a collaborative project funded by the Plater Trust that looks at the contribution of Catholic charities in the field of migration and asylum in the UK, a non-Catholic country where migration is a highly polarised issue.
