Abstract
Modern technology enables us to collect both specific and everyday data on motion. We will look at using accelerometer (and potentially gyro) data as a tool in a few key areas. The first is neuro-rehabilitation, where the aim is to use motion data fused with other patient meta-data, to characterise and understand the state of impairment. The second is as a predictor in clinical drug trials. We will also look at more precise and targeted analysis of motion for use with healthcare motion capture systems.
