We will highlight how mass spectrometry imaging has emerged as a range of technologies for seeing, at a molecular level, endogenous and exogenous interactions in cells, tissues and the body. Over the last decade mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) has evolved into a powerful array of technologies that has utility for single cell analysis through to intraoperative applications. The three presentations will cover the breadth of applications, describe the current state of the art technologies (MALDI, DESI , SIMS, iKnife, REIMS ) and consider how MSI will revolutionise our future science.
