Abstract
The Cambridge Judge Business Briefings series is an opportunity to hear from and network with our faculty, alumni and professional guests from around the world.
JOIN PROFESSOR RAGHAVENDRA (RAGHU) RAU FOR A THOUGHT -PROVOKING DISCUSSION ON HOW FINANCE CAN BE FUN AS WELL AS SERIOUS .
Raghuβs research examines the trials and tribulations of CEOs β some findings may make them cringe. He has looked at the role played by compensation consultants in CEO pay, concluding that hiring such consultants is often a cover for pay hikes. He has analysed bribery cases involving listed firms, and what happens when companies lose their analyst coverage.
Ig Nobel for Management prize winner, Raghu has authored studies on more sober areas of finance β systematic risk management for hedge funds, shareholding voting privileges and pricing asset transfers.
