Abstract
The extraordinary success of both North and South Korea in managing non-normative sexuality in the postwar period has had the effect of erasing from the national memory a rich history of queer relationships on the Korean peninsula. This talk turns to the archives to discuss the literary representation of same-sex love amongst schoolgirls in the contexts of colonial print culture and sexology.
