Abstract
St Peter’s Anglo-Saxon cemetery, in Kent, was excavated from 1969 to 1971. The archive is in the British Museum but has never been published. We of the St Peter’s Project are now remedying that, one dedicated and largely unpaid specialist at a time. This is a story of excavating through disintegrating paperwork, finding missing site photographs â and thousands of beads
