Abstract
Big Data can support organisations in decision making and planning but it is not without privacy and security challenges. This presentation describes the approach of Vodafone’s Location Insights Team, who analyse patterns of population movement to understand the demand on transport networks in specific areas of study. This is achieved through the use of anonymised and aggregated location data from the Vodafone mobile network.
Series This talk is part of the Isaac Newton Institute Seminar Series series.
