Abstract
After a year and a half of preparation and fundraising I just came back from a month on ship sailing in Antarctica to follow a leadership, visibility and strategy training designed for 76 selected women scientists from 16 different countries. The Homeward Bound project has three main aims: 1) Create a powerful network of 1000 women in science over 10 years ; 2) Propel women scientists in leadership positions in environmental policy, research and decision-making ; 3) Prove that our closer link with the environment, our skills and sensibility can provide a new dynamic much needed for our Planet’s future. Come and hear about what happened and discuss with me the bigger implications of collective intelligence for the future of our planet as well as the unexpected combination of women, science, leadership and environment.
