Abstract
Michael Harris, PhD student at the Department of Medicine, will talk about his study on T cell activation. T cells are key effectors and regulators of the immune response to infections and cancer. Recent decades have seen our understanding of the molecular mechanisms of T cell activation advance significantly. This knowledge is being used to engineer patient-specific immunotherapies and circumvent cancerβs immune-evasions mechanisms.
