Abstract
Dr. Wes Maru, R & D Manager, of OGM Ltd., based in Ely, will talk about measurement systems and instrumentation in the oil and gas industry and in particular on the flow measurement instrumentations that are installed, including those widely employed in Custody Transfer Applications. Ultrasonic and Turbine Flow Metering devices as well as Mixing and Sampling Systems that are characterised via Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Electrical Capacity Tomography (ECT), will be presented as well as the techniques for how flows are predicted using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
