Abstract
BGC Engineering, an applied earth science consultant, based in Vancouver Canada will be visiting the Department of Engineering on 25 October. Matthew Lato and Bill Burton, both senior geotechnical engineers will be giving an open lecture on communicating complex engineering concepts encountered in large civil engineering projects, using Microsoftโs Hololens technology. Applications to large international mining projects will be showcased including projects for Rio Tinto and Barrick Gold. This talk should be of interest to anyone in civil engineering, but is open to anyone with an interest in communication in engineering projects, or communication technologies.
