The King reigns and the data governs
- 👤 Speaker: Nima Hamedani-Raja, King
- 📅 Date & Time: Monday 06 November 2017, 13:05 - 14:00
- 📍 Venue: FW26, Computer Laboratory
Abstract
King has a network of hundreds of millions of monthly active users, a blessing and a curse since big data inevitably opens the door to big noise. In this talk, I will discuss why a data-driven company like King uses Data Science to interpret the implicit preferences of players by presenting some examples of the type of data we are interested in, and how the data is used to make new games and improve the performance of the live games.
Speaker bio: Nima, a computational biophysicist by trade, is London Studio’s Data Science Tech Lead
