Abstract
‘How do you lead a happier life?’
Michael Plant is quite possibly one of the few people close to knowing how, and his years of research have shown that nearly all of us are going about doing it in the wrong way. Is contemporary thinking on happiness really accurate when research is showing that people are becoming unhappier by the day? Join us for a fascinating talk on why this might be the case, and what we can do to improve it.
Michael is also a committed Effective Altruist with a passion for making other people happy and is currently working on an app to help people achieve this.
This talk should be of interest to everyone, not just members of the University, and especially people who are new to Effective Altruism.
Series This talk is part of the Effective Altruism: Cambridge series.
