Abstract
Diogo is a biologist turned social marketer working to understand the human side of biodiversity conservation. His expertise is in applying social marketing theory and tools to address conservation challenges, focusing on the design and evaluation of behaviour change interventions to better manage natural resources. His current work examines sites across Asia and Africa; most recently, he published a paper on the challenge of evaluating social marketing campaigns targeting fishing communities in the Philippines with the goal of driving the adoption of more sustainable fishing practices at the community level. He looks forward to sharing the range of expertise in social marketing for conservation which he has gained over the years.
