DESCRIPTION:Richard Horton is the Editor-in-Chief of the UK’s leading me
 dical journal\, The Lancet. Dr Horton trained originally in medicine\, bef
 ore moving into academic publishing and science communication. He has been
  a medical columnist for The Observer\, The Times\, and The New York Revie
 w of Books\, and was the first President of the World Association of Medic
 al Editors. In 2007 he was awarded the Edinburgh Science Medal – “For 
 professional achievements judged to have made a significant contribution t
