DESCRIPTION:Philanthropy is not a new idea in Chinese culture\, yet the ef
 fort\nin building a better society is now attracting new players\, taking 
 new\nforms\, and addressing more unmet social needs in this rapidly-changi
 ng\ncountry. How is the government undergoing a re-positioning? Where are 
 the\nsuccessful businessmen and companies? What are the innovations from t
 he\ngrassroots organizations? This presenter will draw for you a brief pic
 ture\nof the current situation in China in answering the above questions\,
  and\nshare with you some personal experience with a web-based\nnationally
 -spreading charity programme called '1kg More'.
