DESCRIPTION:As demands on software applications change over time\, it's he
 lpful to know what programming techniques might be useful. New requirement
 s have led to the extension of old languages and the creation of new ones.
  In this talk\, I will present functional and reactive programming and how
  features from both can be exploited in Java. I will also look at the earl
 y developments in Java and how it became what it is today and how it incor
 porates functional and reactive concepts.
