DESCRIPTION:On February 13th 2018 Tuesday\, the Violence Research Centre a
 t the Institute of Criminology\, University of Cambridge\, is delighted to
  host Mr Luke Harding from the Guardian and Professor Jason Sharman from t
 he Department of Politics and International Studies at Cambridge for a dis
 cussion on "The Paradise Papers: Tax havens and offshore financing - what 
 are the consequences for the society?"\n\nLuke Harding is a Guardian forei
 gn correspondent who has reported from Delhi\, Berlin and Moscow and cover
 ed wars in Afghanistan\, Iraq\, and Libya. Mr Harding has recently publish
 ed the book "Collusion: How Russia Helped Trump Win the White House" and c
 o-authored a second book "WikiLeaks: Inside Julian Assange's War on Secrec
 y." He is part of the Guardian's team behind the Panama Papers and the Par
 adise Papers.\n\nProfessor Jason Sharman is the Sir Patrick Sheehy Profess
 or of International Relations in the Department of Politics and Internatio
 nal Studies at Cambridge\, whose research interests range from the study o
 f international corruption\, money laundering and tax havens\, to the glob
