DESCRIPTION:Multicomponent reactions (MCRs) have lately evolved from versa
 tile methods for the synthesis of small molecules to powerful tools for th
 e post-synthetic derivatization of peptides and proteins. This lecture hig
 hlights the most recent multicomponent transformations conducted in my gro
 up to covalently modify peptides and proteins. These transformations inclu
 de the multicomponent labeling and stapling of peptides by means of the Pe
 tasis and Ugi multicomponent reaction as well as the utilization of MCRs f
 or the simultaneous lipidation/PEGylation and cyclization of peptides. Fin
 ally\, our recent endeavor on the development of antibacterial glycoconjug
 ate vaccine and anticancer vaccine candidates by means of a multicomponent
  polysaccharide-protein and lipid-protein conjugation is described.\n
