SUMMARY:Measuring Quantum Geometry Fluctuations with Interferometers - Cra
 ig Hogan (University of Washington)

DESCRIPTION:Gravitational wave detectors now have a system noise level les
s than a power spectral density noise level of less than a Planck time: th
at is\, if the proof masses in LIGO executed a random walk of Planck mass
per Planck time\, it would conflict with current data. This (rather infor
mal) talk will discuss the possibility that new forms of quantum-gravitati
onal noise might be detectable in other interferometer designs\, such as G
EO-600\, and particularly in holographic quantum gravity theories.
