DESCRIPTION:I would like to introduce the spinor-helicity formalism for ma
 ssless particles\, which drastically simplifies the calculation of their s
 cattering amplitudes. I will then discuss some of the physical significanc
 e of the appearance of poles in amplitudes. A combination of these ideas w
 ill lead us to the conclusion that a theory with interacting massless spin
 -1 particles must be based on a Lie algebra.
