DESCRIPTION:After an introduction to inflation and the CMB\, we will discu
 ss recent work on the numerical predictions of multi-field inflation and a
 im to provide a simple analytic understanding for these results. Secondly\
 , we will consider the possibility of a non-trivial metric on the scalar m
 anifold and discuss the relation with the Planck results. The emphasis in 
 this part will be on the recent developments of multi-field trajectories i
 n hyperbolic geometries.
