DESCRIPTION:We are joined by HM Chief Inspector of Railways Ian Prosser of
  the Office for Rail and Road (ORR). Ian\, shall be speaking on the ORR ar
 ound railway safety\, oversight of Network Rail and High Speed 1\, as well
  as the general activities of the ORR in providing (independent) governmen
 t oversight over Britain's railways. \n\nMixed audience\, from many differ

 .......................\n\nAbout the CURC :\n\nFounded in 1911 from the Ca
 mbridge University branch of The Railway Club\, Cambridge University Railw
 ay Club (CURC) is the second oldest railway enthusiast club in the world! 
 The CURC arranges an event in Cambridge most weeks during Full Term\, most
  often a presentation by an invited speaker\, almost always a key professi
 onal from the rail industry\, on a specific subject. The club is not just 
 train talk\, but about how the railway works. We have a celebrated history
  of CURC alumni who now work in the railway industry\, with some at quite 
 senior levels.\n\n\nMembership for students costs £10 per year or £25 fo
 r life membership. We charge £3 at the door for non-members\, upon your t
 hird entry to a talk (first two talks are free). So come and try us out fo
 r free\, gain exclusive access to key railway professionals and depots and
  you might just want to become a member! (We won’t tell anyone you are \
