DESCRIPTION:Strong cosmic censorship is the conjecture which asserts that\
, generically\, general relativity is a deterministic theory\, in the same
sense that classical mechanics is a deterministic theory. After an introd
uction to the conjecture\, I will explain my recent work addressing strong
cosmic censorship for T2-symmetric spacetimes with positive cosmological
constant. In the case of collisionless matter\, I will complete the proof
of the conjecture. In the vacuum case\, I will prove that the conjecture h
olds for the special cases where the area of the group orbits does not van
ish on the past boundary. Finally\, I will discuss another set of results
concerning the area of the group orbits for T2-symmetric solutions or hype
rbolic symmetric solutions\, in the presence of collisionless matter.
