DESCRIPTION:Eleanor Sherwen\, Development Engineer for the Brompton Electr
 ic\, talks about the use of scientific skillsets in a design engineer’s 
 career\, and gives an insight into the design and development processes in
 volved in manufacturing an iconic folding bicycle\, with specific focus on
  the forthcoming electric-assisted model.\n\nEleanor has worked for Brompt
 on Bicycle Ltd\, the UK’s largest bicycle manufacturer\, for four years.
  Her current key focus is developing the algorithm and behaviour of the Br
 ompton Electric\, but prior to this her background has been mechanical des
 ign engineering for a variety of products including ruggedized LiDAR syste
 ms\, dental equipment\, and of course bicycles. She loves cycle touring\, 
 scifi\, and tea.\n
