DESCRIPTION:Satavia is a young company based in Cambridge and offers digit
 al environmental intelligence to make aviation smarter and safer. Environm
 ental factors in the atmosphere\, like dust\, ice\, sulphur\, and volcanic
 \, accelerate wear of aircraft components\; unscheduled maintenance costs 
 the industry billions of dollars each year.  Satavia’s digital intellige
 nce platform generates environmental factor exposure analytics for individ
 ual aircraft and airports\, and integrates machine learning to offer autom
 ated risk-based decision-making capability. Satavia’s data-as-a-service 
 enables aircraft operators to modify aircraft flight plans and scheduling 
 to extend engine lifetime and reduces cost of aircraft ownership. During t
 his seminar Satavia's technical team will elaborate on some of the big dat
 a and scientific challenges they are facing.
