DESCRIPTION:A novel approach for the solution of nonlinear adaptive contro
 l problems is proposed. This approach does not rely on structural assumpti
 ons on the system to be controlled nor on linear parameterization. The app
 roach is illustrated by means of several applications\, including wing roc
 k elimination\, an adaptive visual servoing problem\, the control of a pow
 er converter\, and a flight control problem. Simulations and experimental 
 results highlight the validity of the proposed methodology.
