DESCRIPTION:The Behaviour and Health Research Unit's Annual Lecture (held 
 in collaboration with the Centre of Science and Policy (CSaP)) will this y
 ear be provided by Professor Theresa Marteau (BHRU Director) who will refl
 ect on the work the Unit has undertaken in its role as the Department of H
 ealth Policy Research Unit on Behaviour and Health over the last seven yea
 rs. This programme of work focuses on interventions in physical micro-envi
 ronments (also known as nudging)\, as well as interventions in economic en
 vironments\, with the aim of changing behaviour to improve population heal
 th and reduce health inequalities. The lecture will discuss examples of ou
 r research\, such as reducing portion size and wine glass size\, and price
  changes on sugary drinks and food\, which aim to reduce the consumption o
 f food and alcohol. It will also address public acceptability of these int
 erventions\, key to their implementation by policy-makers.\n\nThe lecture 
 will be chaired by Mark Petticrew\, Professor of Public Health Evaluation 
 at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Mark is a member of
  the Policy Innovation Research Unit (PIRU) at LSHTM and co-directs the NI
 HR School for Public Health Research at LSHTM. Mark is also an Honorary Pr
 ofessor in Public Health at the University of Liverpool. Since the Behavio
 ur and Health Research Unit’s inception in 2011\, Mark has been a member
